PRINT QUALITY AND LIFE EXPECTANCY
The Fine Art of Fitness uses Kodak DCS Pro 14n and 14nx professional
digital cameras and the latest Nikon lenses featuring vibration
reduction (VR) and extra-low dispersion (ED) glass. All images
are captured in 13.5 Mega-pixel Raw file format to provide
the highest possible image quality.
Each poster from The Fine Art of Fitness is printed on
an Epson 7600 large format printer using Epson Ultrachrome
pigmented inks. Epson Premium Luster or equivalent RC-base
luster papers are used to achieve maximum color accuracy
and long print life.
Life expectancy of prints made with the combination of
Epson Ultrachrome inks and Epson Premium Luster paper has
been estimated by Wilhelm
Imaging Research to be 48 years unframed under a bare
bulb and 71 years when displayed under glass. Life expectancy
in dark storage is estimated to be greater that 200 years.
The Fine Art of Fitness further extends print life expectancy
by lacquer coating non-laminated prints with Premier
Art Print Shield or by laminating prints with USI ProSeal
or USI ProMount. These coatings provide UV protection and
water resistance.
All framed prints from The Fine Art of Fitness are mounted
on foam core and assembled by hand using high quality framing
materials. To ensure that your framed prints are well protected
from environmental hazards, we laminate them with USI Professional
Luster ProMount.
